Just Another Reader

So I did like Finnikan of the Rock. I loved Froi of the Exiles. How did Quintana of Charyn measure up? Well I really liked it, but it was not on the same level as Froi. 

I feel like FotR (sorry, I'm getting lazy) is just the background and prequel to the rest of the series. I did really like it, but the main crux of the storyline starts when Froi gets sent to Charyn and meets their insane princess. 

This book mainly wraps up all of the storylines in an epic fashion that had me regretting reading in public for all my involuntary reactions. It's a fun and exciting book, though a bit predictable. 

I highly recommend this series, even if the first one doesn't hook you.  Froi and Quintana have become one of my favorite book relationships.
