Just Another Reader

I'm a bit annoyed that the cover isn't updated for this, because it's honestly one of the most gorgeous covers I've ever seen. Here's a link to the actual cover. I routinely judge books by their covers and it's one of the first things that draw me in (that and a title involving dragons). I liked the first cover for the series, really liked the second book's cover, and adored this one.

I'm still debating if I want to buy hard copies of the books, just to display those covers.

Overall, I liked the series. For some reason I couldn't figure out, I liked the first one, but it just didn't click for me. And then the second one just clicked perfectly and I thought it was great. Dreams of Gods and Monsters is between the two. I definitely liked it, but not as much as book two. It felt too drawn out and there was a lot that probably could have been cut.

I've heard this is one of the series that may get a movie adaptation and I would definitely go see it. Laini Taylor's writing and world building was one of the best parts of the series and I would love to see it on a large screen.
