Lover Enshrined

Lover Enshrined - J.R. Ward

While I didn't like this as much as Lover Awakened, I did prefer it to the last two books in the series. Guess there's something about those sons of Aghony.

My main issue with the last book was the complete lack of progress in the overall conflict with the lessers. This book however started with the revelation that the Omega somehow had a son with a vampire woman and the child was raised as a vampire.

As usual the bulk of the story is on a brother, in this case Phury, and their mate. Cormia was introduced in the last book but we get to know her much better in this book and learn more about her society of the Chosen.

Phury was fairly frustrating and I did want to hit some sense into him most of the time. But the resolution of the book worked out well.

We also saw a fair amount of Rehvenge and John Michael. Three were a lot of changes in the vampire society which will make their books pretty interesting.
