Just Another Reader

I'm almost at the end of this series :(

I am still amazed at how good this series is despite the terrible movie. It does Greek myths so well. Other than the second book (which I felt borrowed too much from The Odyssey), the Percy Jackson series is a great blend of Greek mythology and modern times.

This book rides the fine line between setting up for the final book and standing on its own. I loved the interpretation of the maze and Daedalus. I'm planning on finishing this series later on this quarter for a challenge. I will hold off for a bit, but I'm already looking forward to reading the Heroes of Olympus series.

I do actually already have the Kane Chronicles on my kindle. I've heard they aren't good as the Percy Jackson series, but I think I'll still enjoy them.
