Just Another Reader

So I haven't been off to a great start this year. The book I was reading wasn't connecting with me so it took me a bit longer to get through. And my short audiobook took longer since I wasn't driving by myself as much due to the weather. And I still haven't written reviews for most of my December reads (which I will start fixing...soon). Considering my goal is 250 I need to get reading.

Also I did want to mention another book site that I've decided to use, BookDigits. I actually first used it back in early September when the creator posted about it on reddit. I signed up but decided to stick with goodreads. He posted about it again and I have decided to give it another try. So that's four books sites I will now be reasonably active on.

It's a different site than the others. You can't import your catalog for one thing, so yes you will be starting from scratch. However, the way you rate books is extremely different. As opposed to stars, you grade them from A+ to F. You can mark if a book is more literary or commercial. Instead of shelving/tagging you add themes as percentages. How addictive was the book, would it be a good movie, would you reread it? You can also post comments for the book.

All of this gets combined to give you an overall picture of how people felt about the book. You can see why importing would be an issue. For now, I'm just categorizing the books as I read them and seeing if I like it.
