And done!
Sometimes I'm sad to finish a series, but usually I just feel accomplished. Although with the sequel series Bloodlines, I kinda feel like I'm just halfway through.
I thought this was a good ending. I believe Rose and Dimitri still show up in the sequel series so I will still see them and it doesn't feel like an ending in that regard.
The thing I didn't like about the ending was how numerous people are caught in the crosshairs between Rose and Lissa. I love the relationship and it's one of the strongest parts of the book. But many people are kinda used and abused for these two to protect each other. Eddie, Jill (who I guessed was the illegitimate child from the beginning, it made sense), and Sydney in particular. I believe Jill and Sydney are in the next series, okay I know Sydney is the main character. I will be interested to see her story since I have been intrigued by Alchemists since they showed up.
Adrian I just feel incredibly bad about, especially with Rose's terrible breakup with him. This series was always going to be Rose/Dimitri but I still feel bad for him. He's also in the sequel series as I think a love interest for Sydney, so theoretically he'll be fine.
I did not see the Tasha thing coming at all. I can't decide whether or not it was just good misdirection (I actually was suspecting Ariana, she seemed to good to be true) or intentionally shocking for the point of being shocking.

I will pick up Bloodlines at some point. Possibly soon if I have a good challenge that calls for it.
