Just Another Reader

The Monstrumologist was an interesting book, but it never captured my attention. I started it and then put it aside for a few weeks before finally picking it back up and reading it.

I did enjoy the monsters and thought the idea of them was creative. I did also like that there was a character named Captain Varner, since I know someone with that last name and rank in real life. 

I wasn't a big fan of The Fifth Wave either, so maybe Rick Yancey is just not an author for me.
