Goodreads Survey: Tell us a bit more about why you chose 1

So Goodreads sent out a survey via email asking how likely I'd be to recommend Goodreads to friends. My response is below:

It's a good site to track what I'm reading and what I want to read and I enjoy the groups.

The recommendations generated by the site generally aren't great and I don't use them anymore. The search function will not work unless you type in the exact title which if you're searching for it because you can't remember it exactly defeats the purpose.

The main reason I would not recommend it is because I do not agree with how readers have been treated in these last few months. Deleting a number of shelves and reviews without giving anyone a chance to save or edit their work was rude. The fact that Goodreads has not even sent a site-wide announcement out (which you can apparently do for surveys like this and the kindle integration last week) regarding it shows that you do not care and decided to target some members who had gotten on the bad side of certain authors.

Maybe you did at one point. But you certainly do not anymore. I still use the site, but refuse to post anymore reviews. I have started exploring my options and I may leave for good at some point.
