Allegiant

Allegiant - Veronica Roth

So I saw this was available at the library and decided to give it a try. I wasn't a big fan of the series, but the uproar over the ending intrigued me, though I had managed to avoid getting spoiled.

Once again Veronica Roth included little background about what had happened in previous books. Personally, the fact that she does this bugs me. It was worse in Insurgent though. Also this time I found the Recaptains blog which recaps books, mainly YA series.

I didn't hate the book, but it was just okay for me. The decision to include Four's pov was a bad one, mainly because there wasn't a big difference between his voice and Tris's.

I was happy that they gave a reason for why the factions are as they are. One thing I didn't like about the first book was that I didn't think it was logical for there to be a near-future human society where people only had one trait. The rest of it seemed a bit deus ex machina to me though. I can't say I'll see the movies and I don't think I'd read another series from Roth.
