I finally read/listened to all of Jane Austen's books which has been a long time goal of mine :)
Persuasion was a bit difficult to get into. Generally for audiobooks, if you aren't hooked by the first half hour to hour, it will be difficult to get through. I didn't get into Persuasion right away. Nothing to do with the narrator, Juliet Stevenson once again is a great reader.
Luckily, I stuck with it (realistically there was no way I was giving up at that point), and ended up loving it.
Persuasion featured an older protaganist, Anne, who allowed herself to be influenced by her family to break her engagement to a man she loved, but he was not well off. He returns years later a wealthy man who as we all now, must be in want of a wife. I highly recommend this book and if it were not for my love of P&P and Emma, it would take top spot.
