Just Another Reader

After reading Breathless yesterday I decided I wanted to re-read Spark to remind myself of what had been happening to prepare myself for Spirit being released at the end of this month. I have now realized I am going to read the entire series again, though now backwards.

Anyway, this book. Gabriel is probably my favorite of the brothers simply because he controls fire, which will also be my favorite element. But yes, he has a strong tendancy to be an asshole. I loved being able to get into his head and see what he is thinking when he says hurtful things. I loved Layne and Simon as well. Both were interesting and fun characters.I also liked how this book did not have the love triangle of Storm since that is a pet peeve of mine (though it was done well). Spark built directly on Storm by starting only a day or so later as opposed to the multiple years between Elemental and Storm.

I'm excited to see where the story will go with the introduction of Calla and the plan to draw in the guides and to find out why/who they're doing this since I think she did say she was not working alone.
