And the third and unfortunately final volume for this series. The Parasol Protectorate, which it is based off of, is actually 5 books, and I knew going into this that it was the end. I do remember reading something from Gail Carriger that this was going to happen, but that it would have a different ending to tie it together.
It did not and ends similarly to the third book. Honestly, the fourth book can be semi skipped, but I really liked a lot of the developments and ending of the fifth book and I would have liked to see more of an ending for the manga series as I feel a lot is left dangling.
The plot is simplified for the manga, but still fun and I loved seeing some of the scenes drawn. Again, I would recommend the actual series, but it is fun having this as well.
