A Hero's Guide to Deadly Dragons

How to Train Your Dragon: A Hero's Guide to Deadly Dragons - Cressida Cowell, David Tennant

All Hiccup wanted for his twelfth birthday was a quiet, relaxing day. The book opens with him breaking into a library guarded by Driller Dragons and Meathead Warriors.

David Tennant, I will never leave you again. Not that the books aren't good on their own, but his narrations bring the book to life in a way paper can't.

The Hairy Hooligan tribe and the Bog Burglars have been in the middle of a competition to see who is the better burglars. The Bog Burglars (not surprisingly) has been winning, but Stoik the Vast is confident his tribe can pull it off with the help the the How to Train Your Dragon book, which Gobber the Belch had stolen from the library years ago, only to find that Hiccup had destroyed it.

Hiccup, with the help of Fishlegs and Camicaze (whose dragon Stormfly we finally meet), heads back to the library to steal a book, since the books can never leave the library and are guarded by the Hairy Scary Librarian.

It's a fun book and delves into Hiccup's love of reading, despite the Vikings ban against it.
