Don't Touch

Don't Touch - Rachel M. Wilson

Don't Touch. Caddie is determined that if she doesn't touch anyone, her dad will come back to their family. Caddie has always played these games.

But now she is starting at a new school, an artsy school where she wants to pursue acting. Her class is putting on Hamlet and she wants to play Ophelia. But she also wants her dad to come back. So she wears long sleeves and full length gloves, even in the hot summer of the south. She is determined to play her game, but struggles as she forms relationships with her new classmates and even becomes romantically interested in one.

This book did remind me of Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, though I preferred Speak, but it is really good as it tackles the anxiety and fear of a girl with OCD. And it's stand alone.
