Just Another Reader

The Girl of Fire and Thorns was a series I had heard a lot about and picked up at one point when it was on sale. 

Overall I liked it. It's about Elisa, the younger princess of one kingdom, married off to another kingdom whose king wants to keep her secret at first. Oh and she is gifted with the "Godstone". A gift from the gods but she has no idea how to use it. 

There are are some interesting ideas and it does differentiate itself from many of the other YA series by having an overweight protagonist. I think I would've preferred a little less emphasis put on her weight than there was. I do plan on continuing the series.
