Fantasy YA is always one of my favorite book categories. To me, nothing can come close to Tamora Pierce, but I had always heard really good things about the Seven Realms series. I got the first one for Christmas and finally started it earlier this month.
And then it sat there. It wasn't that I didn't like it, but it became one of those books that sits there. And I didn't pick it up. Since I don't like to read more than 3 books at a time (audio, kindle, and paper), this isn't a good thing.
After I started reading it again, I did get through it rather quickly and I did enjoy it. Good world building, interesting characters, and I really look forward to seeing where it goes.
I will say, I guessed most of the reveal/twist/betrayal for Raisa. I did get a bit bored for her chapters since I knew where it was going. Han's story was more interesting.
I also really really want a map. Anyone have one?
