The Devil in the White City

The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America - Tony Goldwyn, Erik Larson

The Devil in the White City is a fascinating look at the Chicago Worlds Fair.

My issue is that I wish the author had decided instead to focus on one of the aspects of the story. The book constantly bounces between the development and building of the Worlds Fair and a serial killer who operated nearby and took advantage of the transient population.

Just so many aspects of the story I would get interested in before being thrown into another storyline. I remember hearing that a movie is in development and I'm curious how much they will cut down.

Also if you have any recommendations about George Washington Gale Ferris and the development of the wheel he named after himself please let me know. That was the part of the story I really wanted more information about.
